ICC Launches Public Ballot for T20 World Cup 2024 Tickets with Sales Commencing; Deadline Set for February 7

In Brief:
The T20 World Cup 2024, scheduled from June 1st to June 29th, will feature a record-breaking 55 matches across nine cities. To accommodate the expected high demand for tickets, the ICC has introduced a public ballot system. Unlike traditional models, this ballot ensures equal chances for all applicants within a seven-day window, open until 11:59 PM Antigua Standard Time on February 7th, 2024.

Applicants can apply for up to six tickets per match, with no limit on the number of matches they can attend. Ticket prices, ranging from $6 to $25, aim to make the event inclusive and accessible to a diverse cricket fanbase.

After the ballot period, any unclaimed tickets will be available for general purchase starting February 22nd on the official website, tickets.t20worldcup.com. Successful applicants will be notified via email, receiving a link to complete their purchase. Unfinalized payments within the specified timeframe will lead to ticket re-release into the general pool on a first-come-first-served basis.

India’s T20 World Cup 2024 group schedule includes matches against Ireland on June 5th, Pakistan on June 9th, USA on June 12th, and Canada on June 15th, all taking place in New York and Florida.
