India vs England, 2nd Test Day 3 Highlights: Shubman Gill Secures Third Test Century

In the ongoing second Test between India and England at Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam, Zack Crawley and Rehan Ahmed concluded Day 3 unbeaten at the stumps. England faces a target of 332 runs for victory. The lone wicket to fall on the day was Ben Duckett, with off-spinner R Ashwin providing the breakthrough.

Earlier in the match, Shubman Gill played a remarkable century, contributing to India’s total of 255 in the second innings. England’s bowler Tom Hartley stood out with four wickets. On Day 2, Jasprit Bumrah’s outstanding performance limited England to 253. Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal aim to further extend the home team’s lead.

Jaiswal, who scored an impressive 209 on the second day, had to step in to bat again on the same day due to England’s quick dismissal by the Indian bowlers.

During the innings, opener Crawley (76) and captain Ben Stokes (47) were the only English batsmen able to withstand the Indian bowlers, while others struggled. Bumrah took 6/45, supported by Kuldeep Yadav with figures of 3/71.
